FATHER DICKSON CEMETERY

Volunteering

The preservation and maintenance of this historic and beautiful place relies entirely on the effort and contributions of volunteers and the Community.

Community Work days are held every Saturday from April through November starting at 10:00 AM. The main focus of these work days include lawn care and maintenance of the 13 acre grounds. Volunteers with gas powered line trimmers are invaluable in helping to trim and maintain around the 1,000 visible grave markers.

There are many areas that need to be weeded and cleared of small branches and debris from the many trees.

The Cemetery is over 120 years old and there are many grave stones that could benefit from being leveled and placed in their proper positions as well.
